Dallas, TX is gearing up for the 2017 ARS/Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest set for Friday, December, 15th and Saturday, December 16th. The event will be hosted at Highland Park High School on Friday and at Lancaster High School on Saturday featuring local teams: South Garland, Desoto, Lancaster, Waxahatchie, and Highland Park and teams throughout the country: Chicago Simeon (IL), Whitney Young (IL), Sunrise Christian (KS), and Oak Hill Academy (VA). Each local team will play an out of town team.

Texas Grassroots Basketball presents the 8th Annual Lone Star JUCO/Prep Showcase – Dallas- Oct. 8th

Texas Grassroots Basketball has announced the return of the “Lone Star JUCO/Prep Showcase” for its 8th year in a row, featuring over 100 D1 prospects. This event will take place on Saturday, October 8th at Duncanville Fieldhouse (1700 S. Main St. Duncanville, TX 75137). Games will be held on 3 courts, beginning at 11 a.m.

College Coaches, Scouts, and Media will be given the opportunity to evaluate players competing at a high level. There are currently 17 JUCO/Prep teams pre-registered, with a few more being added. A few confirmed JUCO teams include: Angelina College, Tyler Junior College, Redlands College (OK), and Arkansas Baptist. A few confirmed Prep/HS teams include: Pro-Vision Academy, Global Learning Village (Chris Walker Academy) and Southwest Christian (AR).

The 2016 Pangos All-South Fr/So Camp is coming to Dallas, October 15th & 16th. Each participating player will be given the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of national and regional scouts attending, while gaining quality instruction and preparation. The skills session will be directed by former NBA/NCAA assistant, Dave Miller.

Thanksgiving Hoopfest, traditionally known for their stacked High School boys roster and competitive match-ups, will be adding a series of games featuring the top High School girls’ basketball teams in the Nation

 (Duncanville, TX) September 7th, 2016 – The 8th Annual Thanksgiving Hoopfest, named by “USA Today HS Sports” as “One of the top ten HS Basketball Tournaments of the year to attend”, will commence on Friday, November 25th and continue Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at the Sandra Meadows Arena in Duncanville, TX. With the new additions of the top girls basketball teams, Hoopfest will be widely considered as the most anticipated event of the holiday season.

No stranger to DFW, Thanksgiving Hoopfest has annually delivered the future of College and NBA basketball. Over the past 7 years this event has showcased 50 State Champions, 20 Mc Donald All-Americans, and 10 current NBA Players. 7th Annual Thanksgiving Hoopfest Kicks off with Top Basketball TalentThis year the 7th Annual “Thanksgiving Hoopfest” took place over Thanksgiving weekend at the Sandra Meadows Arena in Duncanville, TX. The annual event allows H.S. players to showcase their skills in front of College Coaches, Scouts, Media and their basketball fans. Attendees of this 2 day event had the opportunity to witness some of the Nation’s elite high school prospects battling it out.

Despite the Dallas shakey weather and Black Friday shopping madness, the Thanksgiving Hoopfest still had sports fans, media outlets, scouts & coaches entertained and for good reason. These teams from across the country came to have their chance to leave victorious from this holiday tournament.

The weekend concluded with the ever so hyped matchup between two of the best PGs in the Country, De’Aaron Fox (Cy Lakes) and Andrew Jones (MacArthur). The two went toe to toe, to deliver an undeniable show that wowed the crowd, presumably making this the matchup of the year.

DeAaron Fox (Cy Lakes) Regarded as top PG in class of 2016 with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

Andrew Jones (Irving MacArthur)- Top PG in the class of 2016 with 29 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Trae Young (Norman North) No. 25 player in class of 2017 by ESPN with an averaged 38 points, 6.5 assists, and four rebounds two games played.

Schnider Herard (Plano Prestonwood) Finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Cam McGriff (South Grand Prairie) 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Harrison Henderson (South Grand Prairie) 13 points and six rebounds.

R.J. Nembhard (Keller Central) 22 points

C.J. Roberts (Richland) ranked 85 in class of 2017 Finished with 31 points, two assists, and two rebounds.

DeAndre Williams (SATCH) Finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
